Saya diundang ke sebuah *pop-up shop* di lantai dua Niima Studio untuk menyaksikan koleksi perdana dari jenama lokal bernama "Mad Parody." Jenama ini mengusung gaya busana yang keren dan unik—desain-desain mereka benar-benar menangkap esensi dari apa yang segar dan khas bagi generasi muda saat ini.

Saya tiba agak terlambat karena sebelumnya harus meliput kegiatan jenama lain di Urban Forest. Acara dimulai pada siang hari, dan saya sampai di lokasi sekitar pukul 16.00. Saat saya tiba, sudah banyak tamu yang hadir untuk mendukung peluncuran koleksi pertama mereka. Koleksi ini sangat unik; setiap potong pakaian memiliki detail *distressing* (efek usang) yang dibuat dengan sengaja, sehingga meskipun memiliki SKU yang sama, setiap barang tetap menjadi satu-satunya yang ada. Perhatian mereka terhadap detail sungguh luar biasa. Saya juga mengetahui tentang beberapa teknik yang sangat eksperimental—sebuah pendekatan yang menyegarkan, jauh berbeda dari metode produksi massal yang sering kita temui pada jenama lokal lainnya. Sebagai contoh, mereka menggunakan jenis teh tertentu—varietas yang juga digemari oleh Ratu Elizabeth—yang berasal dari Indonesia, lalu dimanfaatkan sebagai pewarna untuk menciptakan rona warna yang unik. Perhatian terhadap detail-detail kecil yang kreatif inilah yang membuat mereka tampil beda dibandingkan jenama lokal lainnya; Anda wajib sekali melihat koleksi mereka.

I was invited to a pop-up shop on the second floor of Niima Studio to witness the debut collection from a local brand called "Mad Parody." It’s a brand with a cool, unique fashion style—their designs truly capture what’s fresh and distinct for today’s younger generation.

I arrived a bit late, as I had been busy covering another brand’s activation at Urban Forest. The event began at noon, and I got there around 4:00 PM. By the time I arrived, many guests were already there to support the launch of their first collection. The pieces are incredibly unique; each one features intentional distressing, ensuring that even items with the same SKU remain one-of-a-kind. The attention to detail is remarkable. I also learned about some highly experimental techniques—a refreshing departure from the heavy, mass-production methods often seen among other local brands. For instance, they incorporate a specific type of tea—the very same variety favored by Queen Elizabeth—which is sourced from Indonesia and used as a dyeing agent to create unique colors. The fact that they’ve considered such minute, creative details sets them apart from other local labels; you should definitely check them out.
