Sepatu putih tiba di tangan saya pada Juli 2022 (sudah dipakai selama 49 bulan hingga hari ini) & sepatu sulfur tiba di tangan saya pada 1 November 2023 (sudah dipakai selama 33 bulan hingga hari ini). Saya rasa saya telah menggunakannya dengan baik dan keras!

Heres the current state / update of the General Purpose Shoe i had. As the white pair arrived to my hand july 2022 (49 month of used till today ) & The sulpher pair came to my hand on 1st of November 2023 (33 month of used till today ). i think i have use them well and hard !

Begini kondisi White G.P.S ini setelah 4,5 tahun pemakaian. Kesan pertama saya setelah menggunakannya hampir setiap hari selama kurun waktu tersebut adalah bentuk sepatunya yang sudah tidak lagi kokoh. Menurut saya, kelembapan udara dan paparan sinar matahari yang terik di Indonesia berdampak besar pada kondisi sepatu ini. Perlu diingat, saya memang menggunakannya sebagai sepatu harian yang dipakai "tempur" (kasar) dan tidak menyimpannya di ruang khusus koleksi sepatu; sepatu ini hanya saya letakkan begitu saja di depan studio.

Here's the White G.P.S after 4 and half years . my first impression after using it mostly as daily true out that time, the shape of the shoe is no longer structural. i think the humidity's and heavy sunlight in indonesia took a told on the shoes. mind you i use this as a beater and i dont store them in a sneaker room. just left in front of the studio.

However, compared to the yellow pair, the rubber is still solid and hasn't worn away the way the yellow one's outsole has.

Kalau yang Kuning G.P.S. kalian bisa lihat sebagai sepatu weartester setelah yang G.P.S putih( jeda beberapa bulan). Pemakaiannya juga sama parah seperti yang putih. karena saya suka kuning , sepatu ini bisa di bilang selang seling pemakaiannya dengan yang putih.

I’d say this is easily the most worn-out pair of G.P.S. Sulphurs I’ve owned. The soles are practically gone; I’ve really put them through their paces. I used them primarily for running, but also occasionally for other activities like padel or gym workouts. I also wore them as casual, everyday shoes—an alternative to the white G.P.S. model. In my opinion, the soles on this pair wore down faster than the white ones.

Biarpun ethos tom sachs adalah repair yang rusak, buat saya ini adalah another sepatu yang punya history di hati. seperti sepatu marsyard overshoes. kali di lain waktu kalau saya ada waktu dan ada resource untuk membenerkan sepatunya , seperti ganti sole atau re glue, saya akan lakukan, tapi buat sekarang saya akan pajang sebagai another mile stone /historical archive di timeline weartesting saya. dalam note yang lebih Happy, ada sepatu baru yang akan datang di bulan -bulan kedepan untuk weartesting, penasaran apa...... stay tune dan liat nanti di bulan depan.

In conclusion, the white and yellow G.P.S. shoes are excellent and very comfortable to wear. After four and a half years of use—especially with daily wear—it is perfectly normal for them to show signs of wear and tear. As for the G.P.S., the name truly fits: General Purpose Shoes. They aren't designed for 100% performance, though they can certainly handle it if the need arises. If you're wondering about the weight, they are admittedly heavy—especially compared to the technological leaps made in modern performance footwear—but the cushioning feels incredibly soft to me. The design leans more towards lifestyle, making them suitable for any occasion, from smart-casual to laid-back settings. Great job on the design, Tom and Nike.
After this review, I’m going to retire them. Even though Tom Sachs’ ethos centers on repairing damaged items, for me, these shoes hold a special place in my heart—much like the Mars Yard Overshoe. If I ever have the time and resources to fix them up—like replacing the soles or re-gluing—I’ll do it, but for now, I’m going to display them as another milestone or historical archive in my wear-testing journey. On a happier note, there are new shoes coming up for wear-testing in the months ahead. Curious to know what they are? Stay tuned and check back next month.
